Baddie Radar

Legal

Terms of Use

Effective October 31, 2026

The short version

  • 18+ only. Be at the gym when you report, and report honestly.
  • Shout out the gym, never a person. No following, filming, approaching or bothering anyone because of something you saw in the App.
  • The heatmap is crowd vibes, for fun. No promises about who'll be there.
  • Break the rules and we can limit or remove your account.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Baddie Radar ("we", "us") and cover your use of the Baddie Radar apps and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You can only use the Service where it's legal for you to do so. One account per person.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your device and sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account anytime in the App.

3. Reporting rules

4. Respect people. This one's non-negotiable.

You agree not to use the Service, or anything you learn from it, to:

Gyms have their own rules. Follow them, and respect everyone working out.

5. Don't break the Service

Don't scrape, crawl or bulk-download data; reverse engineer or bypass limits like the 5-mile guest radius or report limits; interfere with servers or other users; or use the Service to build a competing dataset. Normal personal use is fine.

6. Enforcement

We may discount reports, limit features, or suspend or end accounts that break these Terms or look like abuse, with or without notice. We may also remove gyms, including at a gym's request.

7. Content and ownership

The Service, including the app design, art, avatars and code, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App on your devices for your own non-commercial use. When you submit reports, gym requests or feedback, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use them to run and improve the Service, including as part of aggregated heatmaps. Map data comes from third parties such as Apple, Google and OpenStreetMap contributors and is subject to their terms.

8. No guarantees

Heat levels are crowd-sourced estimates based on recent patterns. They may be wrong, outdated or missing, and they say nothing about any specific person. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate or error-free. You're responsible for your own safety, including on the way to and at any gym.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for a free app, is zero). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10. Indemnity

If you break these Terms or the law while using the Service and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

11. Ending

You can stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. We may change, pause or stop the Service, or end these Terms for you, at any time. Sections 7 through 13 survive.

12. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

13. App stores

If you got the App from the Apple App Store, you and we agree that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; Apple isn't responsible for any product claims or third-party IP claims about the App; to the extent any warranty applies, you may notify Apple for a refund of any purchase price and Apple has no other warranty obligation; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms who can enforce them against you. You must also follow the App Store and Google Play terms that apply to you.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the App. Using the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
